I have a new article titled, ”4 Saving Goals After Graduating” – it basically covers some financial milestones college students should plan for after graduating (paying off student debt, buying a car that’s not a junker, etc.) Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll submit for review.

I have two different article ideas. One would be “What to Wear on the Fourth of July” and it would focus on different outfit choices for the holiday. The other would be an article based on what are some guy’s favorite outfits that girls wear in the summer. I’m not sure what the title could be, but I would include quotes from college guys! Let…[Read more]

Great ideas, Rachel! I like that your 4th of July idea. I’d add to explore what kind of tips you want to cover because you could cover a full outfit and you could also do just shoes or tops. The more specific the deeper you can get in the advice. As always, give them examples of brands that have the clothes you recommend.
And I’m not sure…[Read more]

Here are some of the article ideas that I was thinking about for the next 3 weeks. Any feedback?
1. Article about the upcoming return of ”Arrested Development” and the buzz surrounding it.
2. Beauty article about how to stay safe during summer in terms of cosmetics, sunscreen, etc.
3. Dream summer vacation spots around the world.

I wrote a long reply to this and I don’t see it. -___-

I don’t remember the brilliant ideas I mentioned in the last time I replied to this but let see if I can recap some of it….
The beauty article we dont really need right now bc Linzy is already doing that. Maybe you could do something related to health like staying fit in the summer using outdoors activities or something? Feel free to throw…[Read more]

Since the relationship one is going to take a bit of time to get my sources, here is another idea I can do tomorrow or the next day:
top sunscreens for summer
highlight 4 or 5 different sunscreens that help with certain aspects, such as protection from freckles, easiest to use, best feel etc -

I want to write an article about how to decide whether to take a relationship long-distance. I know with summer, graduations, new jobs etc some couples may be facing the question whether to stay together or not. I want to get insight on people who have gone through this (either decided to break up or stay together) and use it in the article.
-
Excellent idea, Linzy. I like it because it’s very relevant to what’s going on this time of year. Interviewing people going through it will be great insight of what decisions they are faced with (job, money, happiness, family).
I’m not clear on what exactly do you want the article to accomplish for the reader, though. How are they going to…[Read more] -
It is going to focus on what to consider when making the choice to make a relationship long distance or to end it (examples, length of time in relationship, seriousness, how far away, time going to be apart etc)

I replied to this too. Did you get a chance to see it>?

I’m hoping to write an article highlighting the most anticipated movies this summer, but I don’t want it to just be a cliche movie article. Suggestions?
-
I know. It has to stand out from the rest out there. In order to not make it chiche, I would suggest making it more niche to a specific situation and approach it from a less expected angle.
For example; you could write about the “Top X Movies for a Date this Summer.” Something like that.
Digging deeper into the topic is also a great way to…[Read more]

I wanted to write an article that covers the best summer music festivals to check out around the US. Thoughts?
-
Hi Miles!
Great! Please look up the article we already did about electric dance music carnivals so yours doesn’t end up looking the same. I would say go for it though.
Breaking these festivals down and telling the reader why they are amazing and different from one another would be of value. Also price points for those who are on a budget. Let…[Read more]

I was thinking about writing about the resurgence of 1990’s fashion, with side-by-side photos. I’ll call it ”The Dream of the 90s is Alive in…. Fashion?” as a reference to the TV show ”Portlandia,” which addresses this issue a lot. Any feedback?

What does everyone think about a video series for the Ladies Lounge where we seek out the best tutorials for the hardest things to master (involving makeup, hair, nails, etc…)? Thinking the series would be called ”Unlocked”
-
I think its brilliant!
But if you are going to base your article off of a youtube video, it is important to do a couple of things. 1) Your article must still add value. You can do this by adding your own input or by summarizing the most important things covered in the video. You can bullet point the most helpful advice, summarize it, suggest…[Read more]

My article idea for this week is about relationships… Is the ”overly attached girlfriend” (e.g. the meme) as prevalent as the internet would lead us to believe? I’ve already surveyed about 70 college students and have their answers. All I need is the ”ok” to start writing.

I had an idea for my next article to be about the best outfits to pack for certain Summer vacation locations. (ie: the beach, european trip, road trip, camping trip, etc.) I need a bit of help developing possible titles.
-
As I always say, “What do they know and what do they want to know?” — As simple and obvious as that sounds, it always helps me wrap my head around these questions.
I really like the idea and see how it could be really valuable. I suppose there are two approaches to this article: either generalist tips for each kind of trip, or a single…[Read more]
-
I like the idea of choosing one “trip” to focus on. That way, it can kind of be like a checklist of things to pack. I was toying with a “How To” headline, like “How To Pack a Chic Wardrobe for Your European Adventure”. Also, I think i’ll stick with a Europe trip. It seems as though “beachy” articles are taking over the web at this time of…[Read more]
-
I not only like the idea because Europe is amazing, but I like it because you are trying to think different and separate ourselves from a lot of what’s out there. I would also add that in the intro it would be nice to tell readers this will be a European look, so even if they aren’t going to travel across the Atlantic, they will be able to put…[Read more]

also, for the makeup one i can do a video and make step-by-step photos to go with the article
HI Linz! Sure, I think the video one would be great. The only thing I would say, is that it has to be filmed in HD (minimum 720). As far as the topic itself of gold glitter, I would rather do something that covered makeup fundamentals. Let me know your thoughts on this.
I love the 4th of July idea!
haha don’t get offended if I pitch that idea and it gets used for College Gloss then
hmmmmm…….. makeup fundamentals…… look at that blush! Tips for flawless cheeks?
also, due date for 4th of july drink article?
I think writing about some of the fundimentals will be great. Check structure or something like that I see is popular. I’d suggest to loon at Pinterest posts and see what makeup pins are popular and about makeup. The reiterate that and maybe improve on it. It will be a big hit!
As for the 4th of July one, anytime this month would work. Maybe do…[Read more]
