In my last installment of Comic-Con coverage, I delved into the world of cosplaying and the costumes of comic conventions. Now, for another huge part of the event… celebrities

Year after year, production companies flock to conventions for promotional purposes, whether it be for a new blockbuster film, prime-time TV show, or video game. However, the biggest of these events is Comic-Con! Celebrities turn out in droves to meet fans, advertise for new projects, and unleash their inner geeks. As an attendee, you could get extremely lucky and meet some of your biggest role models! (For example: last year, I got to meet and profess my love for the entire cast of “Django Unchained,” as well as Quentin Tarantino himself.) Some celebs have a very rigid schedule and are constantly surrounded by security, a few choose to charge for photos/autographs, and occasionally a couple are only in San Diego for a couple of hours… but have no fear! Many other celebs have free signings, attend panels and hang around for meet-and-greets after, and even walk the convention floor to have a true SDCC experience.

Two weeks ago, fans gathered in attempt to meet their favorites. The full casts of Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Veronica Mars, Dr. Who, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Sons of Anarchy, Workaholics, Hannibal, True Blood, Teen Wolf, and many other hit television programs all made it out to talk about upcoming seasons. Major movie stars such as Liam Hemsworth, Tom Cruise, Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, Evangeline Lilly (of “Lost” fame), Jack Black, Simon Pegg, Henry Cavill, Lily Collins, Jim Carrey, Jennifer Lawrence, Shailene Woodley, Harrison Ford, Sylvester Stallone, Vin Diesel, Andrew Garfield, and tons of others also turned out for their special upcoming projects. Fans went insane! Lines to see these big name celebrities speak in panels stretched miles long and carried on for 12+ hours, depending on the level of fans’ devotion.

While I didn’t sacrifice more than 10 precious hours of my “SDCC time” to meet any celebs, I still got to see quite a few of them during my walks around the convention. Here are a few photos from my run-ins with celebs!

Aside from the many stars of whom I snagged photos, I also met a few when I didn’t have a camera. Hugh Jackman (who introduced a full-length sneak peak of “The Wolverine” that I was able to be present for), Aaron Paul, and Jack Black are my favorite of these instances!

Basically, SDCC is the ultimate event for a celeb-lover. Even without trying, running into stars is inevitable!
